The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre is seeking new talent for both on and off its stage. Since 1997, the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre has produced over 95 superior quality musical, comedy and dramatic productions, being featured and reviewed by several publications such as Hartford Magazine, The Hartford Courant, and Connecticut Magazine to name a few and several local news stations including FOX 61 and NBC 30. With a subscriber base of over 800, and an excellent and unique facility, the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre is a wonderful theatre to perform in.

PERFORMERS: The Company is seeking leading male and female ingénue and character players between the ages of 18 thru 85 years of age to join our company and participate in a wide variety of upcoming performances throughout 2009, 2010 and beyond. Actors, please have a monologue prepared. Musical Theatre performers please have an up-tempo and ballad prepared as well as a monologue. You may be asked to have a movement audition. Dancers are asked to prepare a short piece.

The company also seeks quality ensemble members between the ages of 18 thru 85 years of age. A show has no base without its core.

TECH & STAGE CREW: The Company also seeks several “behind the scenes” volunteers to join the CT Cabaret Technical Staff & Volunteers. We are actively seeking focused and dedicated volunteers to join our tech & stage crew, such as STAGE MANAGER(S) to help manage cast, props and scene changes during final rehearsals & performance runs and STAGE RUNNER(S) who would assist in props, scene changes and various tasks during final rehearsals & performance runs. LIGHT & SOUND TECHNICIAN(S) to help run light and sound booth. Minimal experience needed but must be a fast learner and have a good eye and ears for detail. All new light and sounds techs will be trained to our system. We also seek SEAMSTRESSES needed to assist in numerous projects requiring many different costumes of all shape, sizes and styles. And finally, SET CARPENTERS/ BUILDERS to assist Resident Set Designer in constructing and building of sets and props.

RESIDENT MUSICAL DIRECTOR/ PIANIST:
The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre, now entering its 12th year, is actively seeking an experienced Resident Musical Director and Pianist to join our company and assist in rehearsals and play scheduled performances. Both rehearsals and shows are paid. Salary is negotiable. Rehearsal schedules are on a 6 week basis, mostly weeknights. Shows run for 6 weekends, Friday and Saturday nights.
