The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre Makes Big Plans With "Little Me"
*A Hilarious Cy Coleman, Neil Simon Musical with Big Assets*
JANUARY 30th, 2009 thru MARCH 7th, 2009

BERLIN (January 30th thru March 7th, 2009) - The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre is pleased to announce its production of the hilarious musical comedy "LITTLE ME", directed by Kris McMurray.

LITTLE ME is a whopping, whirling musical burlesque of the familiar "as told to" biography -- in this case, the memoirs of a queen of the silver screen, Belle Poitrine. The show expertly harnesses all the pleasing elements of musical comedy to trace the epic romance of low-born Belle Schlumpfert and high-born Noble Eggleston. In the course of her quest for the wealth culture and social position that will permit her marriage to Noble, Belle embarks on an extravagant and varied career. In each adventure, Belle is accompanied by an admiring male, and each startling resolution moves her one step closer to her goal.

The Cabaret has assembled quite the talented cast. Louise DeChesser plays "Belle Pointrine" who narrates the show and looks back at her younger years, with Kelly Boucher playing "Young Belle". Kelly's comic timing and Louise’s warmth bring the two characters as one with their extraordinary talent. Justin Boudreau tackles a handful of roles as several of Belle’s husbands and lovers, that all seem to die while in her presence. Each role is hilariously different.

The cast also includes Eric Michael Gray, George Lombardo and Chris Malone, all bringing vital characters to the show. All together with a strong ensemble, this witty musical will make you laugh and sing. Not a show to miss.

The fine production staff includes Kris McMurray, Artistic Director, Matthew Collin Marrero, Public Relations Director and Resident Set Designer, Barbara Norman, Box Office Manager, Linda Kelly, Stage Manager & Matthew Collin Marrero, Light & Sound Technician.

LITTLE ME runs every Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm from JANUARY 30th thru MARCH 7th, 2009. Doors open at 7:15pm. Tickets are now on sale. MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
